Mitchell- agreed. Though never an apple fan boy, I was surprised by how much Steve Job's dying affected me. Maybe because he is about our age or maybe because he was such a constant on the tech scene for so long, but I feel a profound sense of loss today.

God bless and keep him. Stay well Mitchell

Interesting reflection! I can't relate to your experiences in the 80s (don't remember most of that decade :-P). However, I agree with the summary. Steve - passionately - made it through the good and the bad and left an impressive legacy through his paradigm-shifting products and experiences!

Insanely, Authorize.net doesn't officially support any Mac browsers. Their website does work in Chrome, but certain things simply fail (and fail hard) in FF for Mac.

My company uses ADP for paychecks and medical insurance (like so many other companies) and they too have absolutely NO provisions for Macs on critical member areas of their website. And it's been that way for *years*.

I have to think that in this day and age, you have to *try* to create a website that simply fails in non-IE browsers. I would have to spend time thinking about how to construct something that was so browser-specific that it absolutely broke, was rendered utterly useless, by using the "wrong" browser. No graceful fail, no "it looks a little funny but still functions". Completely busted. Just amazing to me.

I agree to an extent, although I've gotten used to using office 2010, I find the ribbons are counter-intuitive in a few programs - mainly word/excel, you have to go searching for things as opposed to being where they should be. Microsoft should address this problem.
